Notes on examinations
In principle, all enrolled students are automatically registered for all examinations of the respective semester as well as for upcoming re-examinations and repeat examinations (exceptions may be practical semesters, maternity leave, semesters on leave).
However, it is possible to deregister from an examination in accordance with the examination regulations (information and deadlines: see examination schedule).
In the event of deregistration, please note that there is no entitlement to a re-examination or grace period before the regular examination or regular submission date of the next matriculation for the subject in question. In unfavourable cases, this means an extension of the degree course by one year.
Non-participation in an examination for health reasons must be documented by a medical certificate within 3 working days of the examination or submission date.
If the inability to take the examination is not certified by a medical certificate or proof of hospitalisation, the respective examination is to be graded as "insufficient" (5.0) due to unexcused absence.
