Professional career:

• Studied law at the Philipps University in Marburg an der Lahn from 1980 to 1986
• Research assistant at the Department of Law at the University of Osnabrück from 1987 to 1990
• Legal traineeship in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate from 1990 to 1993
• From May 1993 to May 1999 worked as a judge in the Saxon labour and social courts (Leipzig Labour and Social Court, Saxon State Social Court)
• Since 1 June 1999 Professor of Law at the HTWK Leipzig, Faculty of Social Sciences

  together with Prof. Dr Rohde in cooperation with the Kommunaler Sozialverband Sachsen
  Conception and implementation of a guide for people with disabilities in book form and as an annually updated online service (www. behindertenleitfaden-leipzig. de)
  The guide contains legal information on the relevant legal bases in a generally understandable form as well as a comprehensive compilation of the relevant rehabilitation providers, service providers, etc. active in Leipzig.
