The workshops are generally only accessible to students of the Architecture degree programme and students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering who have specialist knowledge and have received an introduction to the model making workshop. All students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering should have completed an introductory course (basic modelling course) or be able to provide evidence of relevant training in woodworking. It is not permitted to work in the workshops without supervisory staff. External persons may not use the technical resources of the university.

Notes on the digital processing devices
Various computer-controlled devices are available to students of the faculty in the digital workshop. Questions about the production of models, working methods and processable materials can be clarified with the workshop team. Suitable data and materials are a basic prerequisite for realising the orders and achieving optimum results.
