The model-making workshop at the Faculty of Architecture & Social Sciences has various specialised workshops. There is a general student workshop with woodworking machines and a large equipment workshop with "heavy equipment" that may only be operated by specialised staff. Simple to complicated volume models can be produced in a Styrocut workshop. It is also possible to borrow a Styrocutter for home use, for example to accompany a Bachelor's or Master's thesis. The modelling workshop is supplemented by a digital workshop, where computer-controlled processing equipment such as laser cutters and CNC milling machines are available.
Student Workshop // Li -040
The student workshop is freely accessible to students on the Architecture degree programme, and the technical resources can also be used by other subject groups. The prerequisite for this is a personal agreement with the workshop management. As only a certain capacity of workstations is available, an appointment for the use of the workshop must be made in good time (approx. 1 week before the start of work).

Digital workshop // Li -025
The digital workshop complements the modelling workshop in the area of computer-aided processing of materials and production of models (rapid prototyping). It also offers the opportunity to work experimentally with different and new materials and to try out advanced production methods and combine them with traditional model making.
