Response times
E-mails relating to the Photo Media Lab are only answered on Mondays and Tuesdays by 4.00 pm and on Wednesdays by 12.00 noon.
General information
The photo-media laboratory of the Department of Architecture offers students the opportunity to document their work and design with the help of models.
This enables students to learn at an early stage how to use model photography, working models and presentation models as a design tool for their work.
In addition to extensive photographic and lighting equipment, students can also receive personalised advice.
There is also the possibility of digital post-processing of the photos at two PC workstations.
Terms of use of the photo-media lab
In the interests of constructive cooperation, we expect all students to be familiar with the terms of use of the photo-media lab and to comply with them.
The signing of a user agreement with the following requirements is necessary for this.
- I have a valid matriculation number.
- I am studying architecture at the HTWK Leipzig.
- I have to ensure order and cleanliness. The photo studio must be left in a tidy and clean condition after work is completed.
- Storing architectural models and objects brought into the photo media lab is not permitted.
- Eating and drinking is not permitted in the photo media lab.
- Students should not save their data locally on the computers. Please bring your own external storage media.
- In the event of theft or damage caused by improper handling of the equipment, I undertake to accept liability for the damage.
Borrowing
Technical equipment and camera tripods that are not exclusively intended for use in the Photo Media Lab can be borrowed by students of the Faculty of Architecture and Social Sciences for the realisation of work.
Loans must be collected or returned during regular opening hours and requested individually by e-mail.
Tested and clean equipment is provided. In addition to careful handling, the equipment is also expected to be returned clean.
Terms of use for lending
In the interests of constructive cooperation, we expect all students to be familiar with the terms of use for lending and to comply with them.
- The signing of a user agreement with the following requirements is necessary for this.
- I have a valid matriculation number.
- I am studying architecture at the HTWK Leipzig.
- The items to be borrowed are the property of HTWK Leipzig. I hereby confirm that I will handle the items to be borrowed with care.
- The items to be borrowed must be checked for damage and functionality before being borrowed and returned.
- The batteries must be fully charged when the equipment is returned.
- The return date is binding.
- The borrower is responsible for the borrowed items and may not lend them to third parties.
- In the event of theft or damage caused by improper handling, storage or transport of the equipment, I undertake to accept liability for the damage.
